Buttons
Brutal flat buttons with a 3px hard shadow. Hover lifts shadow to 5px and translates -2px. Active presses to 1px shadow.

Panels
Container vocabulary. .panel is the canonical card; .subpanel is its inner sibling. State variants tint border + background.

Default container. 1px border, gradient fill, inset highlight, drop shadow, 12px backdrop blur.

Lighter inner sibling. Use inside a .panel for nested groupings.

Cream-tinted active state. Use for the currently-selected step.

Cream-tinted resolved state. Quiet — never green.
.subpanel-error
Red-tinted error state. Pair with role="alert" via StatePanel.

Dashed border modifier — placeholder / drop targets.

Form controls inherit body Mono and 44px touch target minimum. Brutal input styling is in flight.

Spacing Scale
Tailwind's default 4px scale, applied on an 8px rhythm. gap-2 (8px), gap-4 (16px), gap-6 (24px), gap-8 (32px) are the dominant rhythms.
